ADHD Diagnosis
Everyone, especially children, are impulsive, inattentive, making errors, or appearing to be lethargic and slow. But everyone is not an ADHD or an ADD patient. In an ADHD diagnosis, such behaviours should appear before the age of seven and be displayed for a minimum of at least six months continuously, interfering with normal life and routine in any two areas like the school, at play, at home, or in social interactions. ADHD specialists check if the behaviour is seen for a long enough time, appears to be excessive, and if they occur more frequently than in other peers of the same age group. Child psychiatrists and child psychologists also specialize in treating ADHD and a psychiatrist can prescribe the requisite medication and provide therapy for the child as well as the family.
Most ADHD children also suffer from learning disabilities or LD, a reading disorder called dyslexia, and a neurological disorder called Tourette syndrome in which they display nervous ticks, and other repetitive mannerisms. Oppositional Defiant Disorder or ODD is another associated disorder in which children, especially boys, become unreasonably defiant, stubborn, etc. ADHD children may also develop CD or conduct disorder in which they lie, steal, fight, bully, and are overly aggressive. Anxiety and depression also occur with ADHD as can bipolar disorders in which children display overly high and low mood cycles.

Levothyroxine Levothyroxine is a pure synthetic form of T4 hormone that is made in a laboratory to be an exact replacement for the T4 that the human thyroid gland normally secretes. It comes in multiple strengths, which means that an appropriate dosage can almost always be found for each patient. |
